The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Heartcastle tries to land a body kick

and Vos counters with a takedown into side control.
Vos working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Heartcastle parries the strikes from Vos easily there. Vos is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Heartcastle to escape.
Heartcastle dodges the ground and pound from Vos.
Sloppy strikes there by Vos.
Vos is working Heartcastle over with some ground and pound from side control.

It looks like Tanner Heartcastle has been cut.
Vos throws an elbow but Heartcastle slips to the side and avoids it well.
Vos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Heartcastle keeps working.
Vos throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Vos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Vos scores with a couple of short elbows.

That has opened up Tanner Heartcastle's cut even more.
Vos is working Heartcastle over with some ground and pound from side control.

Tanner Heartcastle's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tanner Heartcastle's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
