PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kotaro Asakura (ranked 651 p4p, 1155 weight class) and Natalia Pisswater (ranked 39 p4p, 67 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kotaro Asakura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Natalia Pisswater!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Chad Campbell and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asakura throws a chopping leg kick but Pisswater manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
We've been told by Asakura's head coaches at MONEY TEAM!!! that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

and Pisswater counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Kotaro Asakura has been cut.

Pisswater gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Pisswater has hold of one of Asakura's legs. Asakura is fighting the takedown attempt but Pisswater gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Pisswater drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pisswater jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Pisswater has gone for a leg lock! Asakura slips out almost immediately though and dives into Pisswater's guard.

Pisswater escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Asakura gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Pisswater manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Asakura manages to get himself to full guard.

Pisswater with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Asakura pulls Pisswater in close to prevent any damage.
Pisswater has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Pisswater advances to half guard.
Pisswater winds up and cracks Asakura with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Asakura on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Asakura tries to get out of the position.
Pisswater is keen to just control but Asakura is a slippery customer.

Pisswater is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Asakura sees it coming and defends easily.
Pisswater landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Pisswater has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Asakura defend it? Pisswater steps over the head and cranks it - Asakura is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Pisswater!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Natalia Pisswater!
After the fight, Natalia Pisswater was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
