Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Peterson (ranked 584 p4p, 655 weight class) and Seelow Heights (ranked 90 p4p, 102 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Dylan Peterson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dylan Peterson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dylan Peterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Seelow Heights!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Taro Takaoka and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heights scoring well with a low kick there.
Peterson misses with a body shot
and Heights counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Peterson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Peterson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Peterson not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Peterson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Peterson lands strikes from half guard.
Peterson is nestled in close to Heights, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Peterson is on top in guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Peterson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Peterson looks for a takedown but Heights sprawls well.

A little jabbing left from Heights on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Peterson throws a looping overhand right but Heights ducks down to avoid it.
Heights looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Peterson here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Peterson misses with an uppercut. Heights saw that one coming.
Heights pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Peterson tries to bum rush Heights with a series of wild strikes but Heights uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Peterson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Heights has time to react.
Heights throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Peterson closes the distance and clinches up with Heights, looking for a takedown. Peterson pushes Heights against the cage but Heights circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Peterson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Heights can do to turn this around?
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Heights, as that shot connected.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We've been hearing that Peterson has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Heights wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Heights misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dylan Peterson.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Peterson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
