Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zabit Hussein (ranked 1126 p4p, 1163 weight class) and Azriel Pandens (ranked 161 p4p, 170 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zabit Hussein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 27 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Azriel Pandens! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pandens lands a slapping body shot.
Pandens misses with a hook. Hussein ducked under it nicely. It looked like Hussein was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Pandens. Pandens looks for the body kick but Hussein saw that one coming. Hussein lands with a thumping leg kick.
Pandens takes one to the chin there. Hussein uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pandens. Hussein misses with an uppercut. Pandens saw that one coming. Pandens avoids the head kick by Hussein.
Pandens tries to score with a low kick but Hussein moves his leg out of the way. It looked like Hussein was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Pandens. Pandens on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hussein. Hussein obviously looking to wear him down.
Hussein steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pandens. Hussein checks a low kick from Pandens. Hussein bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Pandens shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Jab by Hussein. Hussein lands a glancing blow to the side of Pandens's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pandens misses with a jab to the body
and Hussein makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. A big left from Pandens misses. Hussein throws a big shot that misses. Pandens swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pandens scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Hussein connects with a jab. Hussein jabs Pandens right on the nose. Pandens blinks but takes it well. Hussein throws a sloppy body shot
and Pandens cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hussein misses with a left hand and Pandens counters with a thumping low kick. Pandens misses with a looping right. Hussein misses with a telegraphed body shot
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Good exchange - Hussein coming out on top. This has been an exciting period of action! Pandens throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Hussein misses with a left hand enabling Pandens to counter with a crisp jab. Hussein tries to land a body kick and Pandens counters with a nice uppercut. It looks like Hussein has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hussein throws a leg kick and Pandens makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Hussein really felt that one! Hussein swings for the body but Pandens moves out of range.
Hussein really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pandens throws a leg kick that is checked and Hussein counters with a stiff right hand. Pandens throws a leg kick but Hussein sees it coming and moves out of range. Hussein avoids a kick to the body.

Hussein seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Pandens throws a hook but Hussein blocks it. Hussein is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Hussein dips to his left and cracks Pandens with an uppercut! Hussein rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pandens moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hussein throws a body kick that misses and Pandens counters with a nice body kick. Hussein moves out of range as Pandens throws a body kick.
A big right from Pandens misses. Hussein moves away from the strike by Pandens.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pandens throws out a loose jab but Hussein uses good head movement to avoid it. Pandens moves out of range of the strikes. Pandens avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hussein turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Pandens scores with a nice right hand.
Hussein throws an off balance right hand
and Hussein takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A swing and a miss from Hussein. Sloppy strikes from Pandens. Those never looked like landing. Hussein tries to clinch but Pandens moves away and Pandens counters with a leg kick. Hussein will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hussein is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Pandens on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pandens takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hussein misses with a leg kick and Pandens counters with a nice leg kick. Pandens misses with a wild body shot. A low kick from Pandens is predictable there and Hussein counters with a straight right hand. Hussein scores with a nice strike.
Pandens is rocked! Hussein cracks Pandens on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Pandens falls backwards against the cage. Hussein follows up with more strikes that drop Pandens to his knees. Hussein keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Pandens! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zabit Hussein! A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Zabit Hussein made sure he mentioned Conviction, along with how happy he was to win his fight.
