Wright kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Come out to play . With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alzarri Kingston!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright checks a low kick from Kingston.
Kingston moves into range and connects with a jab.
Wright staying out of range there.
Wright gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kingston.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kingston darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kingston throws a lazy uppercut
letting Wright counter with a right hand.
Wright throws an overhand right that lands on Kingston's shoulder, as Kingston tries to avoid the shot.
Wright fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kingston manages to avoid it.
Kingston thows a body kick. Wright tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Kingston fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Wright on the side of the head.
Wright gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Kingston motions for Wright to come forward. Kingston throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Kingston has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Alzarri Kingston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A little feinted left hand from Wright on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Kingston tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
It looked like Wright was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Kingston.

Kingston has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Kingston rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Wright counters with a nice body kick.
Wright has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Is It Avatary Enough? in the buildup to the fight.
A head kick by Kingston misses
and Wright counters with a body kick that stops Kingston in his tracks momentarily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kingston moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Kingston connects with a single shot there.
Kingston moves out of range of the body kick.
Kingston looks to throw the jab but Wright is out of range.
Kingston throws a poor cross that misses
and Wright counters with a leg kick.
Kingston lands a front kick.
Kingston misses with a shot to the body
and Wright counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kingston looks to throw a body kick
and Wright counters with a solid body kick.
Kingston looks to land a left hand but Wright moved out of range nicely.
Wright shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kingston eats them both and turns towards Wright to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Kingston on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Kingston is rocked!
Kingston is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Wright had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Wright cracks a nice hook into Kingston's ribs.
Kingston is still on wobbly legs! Can Wright finish him?
Kingston walks straight into a right hand from Wright - that's dropped him! Wright jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Kingston from any more punishment! Kingston complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
