Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jerome Tucker (ranked 4090 p4p, 3503 weight class) and Kaven May Jr (ranked 425 p4p, 384 weight class). Tucker comes to the cage accompanied by Ave Maria. May Jr has chosen HonestKey- Self Discovery as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jerome Tucker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kaven May Jr! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloppy strikes from May Jr. Those never looked like landing. May Jr jabs Tucker right on the nose. Tucker blinks but takes it well. Tucker changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. May Jr looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. May Jr tries to bench press Tucker off him but Tucker keeps the position. May Jr is trying to control Tucker's posture but Tucker avoids it. Tucker tries for a kimura but May Jr is defending well. Tucker connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused May Jr some visible discomfort.
It looks like Kaven May Jr has been cut. An elbow from Tucker crashes against the mat.
Tucker tries to move into full mount but can't pass May Jr's legs. May Jr takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Tucker is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, May Jr has escaped the position, nice work there. Tucker landing a few strikes.

May Jr is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. May Jr regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Tucker. May Jr has momentary wrist control but Tucker slips an elbow through the middle. Tucker throws a big elbow that misses. May Jr wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. May Jr is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tucker defends well. Tucker is looking to work some ground and pound but May Jr has wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tucker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. May Jr looking to sweep here. No luck so far. May Jr working for a triangle but Tucker defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tucker is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst May Jr is controlling him. May Jr trying to control but Tucker is working from the bottom. May Jr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tucker swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. May Jr keeps trying to improve his position. Tucker wants to get back to his feet but May Jr is in a dominant position and won't allow it. May Jr wants to control from the top but Tucker keeps moving. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tucker feints and as May Jr raises his hands in defense, Tucker changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jerome Tucker dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kaven May Jr's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Tucker shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. May Jr defends it nicely. May Jr throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. As May Jr tries to get set, Tucker tries to push him back and clinch up but May Jr manages to avoid the attempt. May Jr throws a head kick that half lands.
May Jr throws a series of punches but Tucker moves out of range. Tucker manages to get an easy takedown there - catching May Jr on his heels. He'll look to pass May Jr's guard now, I'm sure. May Jr preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Tucker landing some decent shots from guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tucker postures up.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Tucker jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Tucker forces his way into half guard. Tucker wants to free his trapped foot but May Jr is holding on for dear life with his legs. Tucker missing with the ground and pound from half guard. May Jr is looking for a sweep. Tucker is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Tucker frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. May Jr blocking the ground and pound. May Jr keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Tucker lands a big shot there that rocks May Jr but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tucker thowing shots but they're missing. Tucker dominating with strikes here. May Jr is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Tucker working away from the top, dropping strikes. May Jr is wriggling around trying to escape.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tucker is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but May Jr is surviving well by controlling Tucker's body position as best he can. May Jr tries to lock up and control but Tucker gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. May Jr is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Tucker is staying active. Tucker lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

May Jr is rocked!
That has opened up Kaven May Jr's cut even more. Tucker postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked May Jr badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Tucker around the waist but Tucker pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Tucker is the winner by TKO! Tucker jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jerome Tucker! Jerome Tucker decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
