These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gautier is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looks like Trebor Gautier has been cut.
Gautier tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thorgard swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Thorgard was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Thorgard drives through with a takedown into Gautier's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Thorgard has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gautier is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

That has opened up Trebor Gautier's cut even more.
Thorgard wobbles Gautier with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Thorgard dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Gautier to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
