Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Moritz Zimmerman (ranked 1525 p4p, 1631 weight class) and Seppo Ilmarinen (ranked 230 p4p, 244 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 13 - 1, fighting out of London, Moritz Zimmerman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Seppo Ilmarinen! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Zimmerman stuffs the takedown. Zimmerman drops down looking for a counter takedown but Ilmarinen sprawls and moves away. Ilmarinen fails to land the takedown. Ilmarinen shoots in for a double leg but Zimmerman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Moritz Zimmerman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Seppo Ilmarinen. Zimmerman gets in close and instigates a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ilmarinen is working for takedown but Zimmerman is calmly controlling the position for now. Ilmarinen prevents a takedown attempt there.
Zimmerman drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ilmarinen pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ilmarinen feints and as Zimmerman raises his hands in defense, Ilmarinen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Zimmerman is looking for a triangle but Ilmarinen pushes his legs off easily.

Zimmerman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ilmarinen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Zimmerman is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Ilmarinen has his hands clasped together but Zimmerman extends and breaks Ilmarinen's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Zimmerman.
