Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Hightower (ranked 109 p4p, 160 weight class) and Vunipola Veainu (ranked 18 p4p, 8 weight class). Hightower kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Power. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Veainu avoids a punch combination nicely.
Veainu swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Hightower has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Blacktalians MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Hightower missing with a left hand there. Veainu was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Veainu let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Hightower rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Veainu moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Veainu looks like he wants to counter punch here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hightower misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Veainu connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Hightower throws a head kick that half lands.

It looks like Vunipola Veainu has been cut.
A chopping leg kick lands by Hightower.
Hightower digs a good body shot into Veainu's ribs.
Hightower connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Hightower bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hightower scores with a nice head shot.
Hightower bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

That has opened up Vunipola Veainu's cut even more.
Hightower throws a monster overhand right that drops Veainu! Hightower follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
