Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jefferson Vera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dennis Moody!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vera misses with a straight left.
Moody moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Moody takes one to the side of the head.
Moody moves into the clinch successfully.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Vera obliges.
Vera manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Vera breaks from the clinch.
We've been told by Vera's head coaches at Outlier Martial Arts 🏆 that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

It looks like Dennis Moody has been cut.
Jab, jab by Vera - just one landing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Moody throws a wild hook but Vera just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Moody gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Vera raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jefferson Vera!
