Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jeryl Christ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roko Matijevic!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Columbo Gatti and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christ swings for the body but Matijevic moves out of range.
Christ waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Matijevic.
Matijevic takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Christ throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Christ throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Matijevic only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Christ misses with a leg kick
and Matijevic cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Christ checks a leg kick nicely.
Christ is looking to counter punch.
Christ misses the jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Christ misses with an uppercut
and Matijevic counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
A looping hook to the body misses from Christ. Matijevic does a little dance to reset his feet.
A little jabbing left from Matijevic on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Christ throws a head kick but Matijevic moves out of range.
Matijevic takes a swing at Christ's ribcage but misses.
Christ just misses with a punch to the body.

and Matijevic counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Matijevic misses with an uppercut
and Christ counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Matijevic thinking.
Matijevic staying out of range there.
Christ walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Matijevic checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Matijevic throws a fast counter high kick but Christ manages to duck under it in time.
Christ uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Matijevic.
Christ takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Jeryl Christ has been cut.
Matijevic ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Christ misses the shot to the body.
Christ missing with a left hand there. Matijevic was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Christ misses with a double jab.
Christ throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Matijevic on the side of the head.
Christ wants to land a leg kick but Matijevic is out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Christ cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Matijevic scoring well with a low kick there.
Matijevic getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Christ blocks the body kick.
Christ fires out a quick counter leg kick but Matijevic just manages to avoid it.
Matijevic takes one on the button.
Matijevic throws a shot from downtown. Christ moves away and avoids it.

A jab lands there for Matijevic.
Jeryl Christ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Christ walks straight into a right hand from Matijevic - that's dropped him! Matijevic jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Christ from any more punishment! Christ complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
