Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Lee (ranked 1951 p4p, 3421 weight class) and Alois Vrana (ranked 280 p4p, 458 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robert Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alois Vrana!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Lee drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Lee tries for a kimura but Vrana is defending well.
Vrana told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Lee prevents Vrana from escaping the position.
Lee tries to advance to mount but can't.
Lee has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vrana explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Vrana misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lee tries for a takedown but Vrana sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Lee looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Vrana!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Lee tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vrana tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Lee throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Lee throws a strike there. Vrana manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
Vrana is trying to stand up here but Lee is controlling him well.

Vrana manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Lee keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Lee is trying to pull guard but Vrana turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vrana is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Vrana has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Lee ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lee no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Vrana got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lee has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vrana has managed to get both his arms back between Lee's legs - danger averted.
Vrana is looking to stand up but Lee won't let him.
Lee wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Vrana is now in half guard.
Vrana wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Lee uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

Lee had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vrana defends it easily.

Vrana gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Lee takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

It looks like Robert Lee has been cut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lee on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Lee throws a head kick that misses.
Lee closes this distance looking for a takedown but Vrana circles away.
Lee glances at the clock... BAM! Vrana nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Lee crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Lee is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alois Vrana!
