The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sterling looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sterling has a takedown stuffed.
Azarola swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Azarola tries a head kick but it misses.
Azarola looks to throw the jab but Sterling is out of range.
Zigor Azarola seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Azarola gets caught flat footed, as Sterling shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Azarola has control of Sterling's left arm, preventing Sterling from doing any damage.
Sterling won't allow Azarola to sweep him here.
Sterling is fighting to break Azarola's control of his arms but Azarola is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
