Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mma Jake (ranked 2879 p4p, 6322 weight class) and Lasse Virinen (ranked 394 p4p, 605 weight class). Virinen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rumble kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Lasse Virinen will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lasse Virinen!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jake is defended easily by Virinen.
Nice defenses there by Virinen.
Virinen swings for the body but Jake moves out of range.
Virinen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jake. That did some damage!
A solid leg kick lands there for Virinen.
Jake ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Virinen moves away.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jake or perhaps it was just good defense by Virinen, which made it look bad.
Jake is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Virinen's half guard.
Virinen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jake passes to side control.
Virinen tries to improve position but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jake has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Virinen is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Jake yanks on the arm and Virinen is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Jake.
