Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Guy River (ranked 370 p4p, 840 weight class) and Jyrki Sukulaku (ranked 55 p4p, 124 weight class). River comes to the cage accompanied by Gabon National Anthem. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Guy River!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jyrki Sukulaku!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
River scores with a sloppy right hand. Sukulaku should have avoided that one.
River stuns Sukulaku with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Sukulaku pulls out of a head kick attempt.
River slips a jab from Sukulaku.
We've been informed that Sukulaku has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
A big right from Sukulaku misses.
River half committed to a counter leg kick.
Sukulaku tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sukulaku throws a big shot that misses.
A jab lands there for Sukulaku.
River looks to clinch
and Sukulaku counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and River counters with a nice uppercut.
River takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Sukulaku throws a lazy head kick
and River counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sukulaku thinking.
River misses with the body kick
and Sukulaku counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Sukulaku moves out of range as River strikes.
River fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Sukulaku walks into a jab.
River fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
River connects with a crisp jab.
Sukulaku throws a lazy head kick
and River counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round.
River drops Sukulaku with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sukulaku looks back up at him and smiles so River waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Sukulaku is rocked!
River pounces like a tiger and cracks Sukulaku with a vicious hook! Sukulaku is down but not out! River follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Guy River!
Guy River seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
