The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helenius is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Lafayette is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Helenius dives in and scores a takedown into Lafayette's guard.

Lafayette looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Lafayette manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Helenius manages to get himself to full guard.
Helenius is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lafayette wants to pass the guard but Helenius is keeping the position.
Lafayette must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Helenius is looking to stand up but Lafayette isn't so interested in that idea.
Lafayette tries to free his leg and advance position but Helenius is retaining full guard.
Lafayette is still trying to improve position.
Helenius is looking to cinch up a triangle. Lafayette throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Helenius's body to avoid the submission. Helenius has instead reached around Lafayette's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Helenius arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
