Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Tommi Ritola!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ritola lands a nice looking body kick.
Jenkins checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Ritola works Jenkins's body with a nice hook.
Ritola looks to land a body kick but Jenkins moved away.
Jenkins connects with a nice looking jab.
Jenkins lands a slapping body shot.
Jenkins takes one on the button.
It looks like Tommy Jenkins has been cut.
Jenkins takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Jenkins takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Ritola slips a straight right by Jenkins.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A lazy body kick from Jenkins
and Ritola cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A big right from Jenkins misses.
Ritola fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Jenkins checks it well.
Jenkins has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ritola finds it's way round the side to connect with Jenkins's head.
Tommy Jenkins's cut is getting worse.
A head kick misses from Ritola.
Jenkins throws out a loose jab but Ritola uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ritola bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Ritola drops Jenkins with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Jenkins looks back up at him and smiles so Ritola waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Jenkins is rocked!
Ritola cracks Jenkins with a left hook right on the temple and Jenkins goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Ritola lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Jenkins is OK!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tommi Ritola!
