Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Will Smif (ranked 1861 p4p, 2135 weight class) and Sam Bass (ranked 199 p4p, 228 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Will Smif!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Bass!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smif just misses with a punch to the body.
Smif tries a head kick but it misses.
Bass looks to throw the jab but Smif is out of range.
Smif misses the shot to the body.
Bass keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bass takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Smif wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Nice defenses there by Smif.
Smif throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Smif misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Bass counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Smif bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Bass missing with a left hand there. Smif was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Smif swings for the body but Bass moves out of range.
We've been told by Smif's head coaches at Thib's Sweat Shoppe that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Bass takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Smif throws a hook to the side of Bass's head but Bass sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Will Smif seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smif bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bass's head backwards.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bass uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Smif.
Smif is looking to wear down Bass with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Bass scores with a decent looking hook.

It looks like Will Smif has been cut.

Smif fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

and Bass counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bass bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Smif's head backwards.

and Bass counters with a nice body shot.
Smif looks to land a left hand but Bass moved out of range nicely.
Bass defending well as Smif loads up on a big left hand.
Bass is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Smif with a body shot.
A big left from Smif misses.
A swing and a miss from Smif.
The crowd cheers as Bass lands an impressive looking overhand right. Smif doesn't seem phased though.

Bass rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Smif counters with a straight right hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bass throws a body shot but no joy.
Bass circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bass comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Smif is breathing heavily.

Bass dips to his left and cracks Smif with an uppercut!
Smif misses with a body punch
and Bass counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Smif out cold! What a finish! Bass is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
