Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Ricky Greene!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Laertes Royster!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greene on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Royster. Royster obviously looking to wear him down.
Royster throws a front kick aimed at Greene's knee but Greene avoids it well.
Greene feinted with a counter takedown.
Royster lands with a thumping leg kick.
Laertes Royster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Royster lands the left hand.
Greene has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Royster keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We've been informed that Royster has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Royster throws a low kick but it's checked well by Greene.

Greene misses with a takedown attempt - Royster sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Greene looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Greene had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Royster defends it easily.
Royster trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Greene working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Royster doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Royster manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
