Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dougie McFistface (ranked 1856 p4p, 1075 weight class) and Nicholas McDonald (ranked 254 p4p, 147 weight class). McFistface comes to the cage accompanied by Tiptoe Through The Tulips. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dougie McFistface!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nicholas McDonald!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Ben Watson and Chris Dean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McFistface shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. McDonald manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

McDonald tries to land a sweep but no joy.
McDonald is looking to stand up but McFistface isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McFistface decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

McFistface decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

McDonald kicks McFistface off and gets back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

enabling McDonald to counter with a crisp jab.
McFistface throws a hook to the side of McDonald's head but McDonald sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A little jabbing left from McDonald on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
That kick from McDonald tenderised McFistface's leg. McFistface is trying to keep his angry face on.

McDonald moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
McDonald dips to his left and cracks McFistface with an uppercut!
McDonald just misses with a punch to the body.
McFistface throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McDonald's waist but McDonald gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McFistface off to one side.
McDonald takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
McFistface shoots in but McDonald avoids the takedown attempt easily.
McFistface keeps McDonald at a distance using the push kick.

McFistface shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McDonald defends it nicely.

McFistface throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

McFistface moves into the clinch.

McFistface pulls McDonald into guard.

McFistface has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McDonald can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
McFistface avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
McDonald throws a big right hand that misses.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now McFistface is on top in guard.

McDonald wants to get back to his feet but McFistface is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McFistface pushes down on McDonald's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Well, if McFistface is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
McDonald has hold of McFistface's hands but McFistface slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

McDonald really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McFistface. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

McFistface throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. McDonald tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McFistface is in McDonald's guard.
McFistface won't allow McDonald to get back to his feet.
McFistface postures up in McDonald's guard and throws a big left but McDonald blocks it.

McFistface has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We've been informed that McDonald has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
McDonald is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, McFistface asserts his dominance and retains side control.
McFistface connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused McDonald some visible discomfort.

McDonald is rocked!
McFistface in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and McDonald looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! McFistface turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
