Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Slater!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Slater on his heels. He'll look to pass Slater's guard now, I'm sure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wallace wants to control from the top but Slater keeps moving.
Slater has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Slater is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

I've been told that Slater has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

Wallace takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Slater's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
