Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alex Barnes (ranked 2130 p4p, 5638 weight class) and Bernie Sanders (ranked 126 p4p, 244 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Sanders's choice of entrance music: Shooter Gang. Alex Barnes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Barnes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bernie Sanders!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes cracks a nice hook into Sanders's ribs.
Sanders is trying hard to land a takedown here. Barnes sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Barnes changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Barnes cracks Sanders with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Alex Barnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sanders manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Barnes keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

That was a close second round but I would say that Alex Barnes will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Sanders changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Barnes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
