Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Manuel Silva (ranked 667 p4p, 550 weight class) and Carter Wright (ranked 90 p4p, 75 weight class). Carter Wright will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Manuel Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Carter Wright!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright slips a jab from Silva.
It seemed like Wright was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Silva will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Wright has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Silva ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wright moves away.
