Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frog Ribbit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adams Menday!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Roberts and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribbit tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A shot to the body from Ribbit misses
and Menday counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Frog Ribbit has been cut.
Ribbit misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Menday cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Menday moves out of range as Ribbit strikes.
Ribbit lands a head shot.
Ribbit throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Menday makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Menday lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Ribbit throws the left hand but Menday avoids the punch easily.
Ribbit takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Menday bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ribbit uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Menday has time to react.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ribbit darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ribbit throws a lazy uppercut
and Menday counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Menday goes for a small jab and connects. Now Menday goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Ribbit stumbles back but Menday runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Ribbit to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Ribbit will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Adams Menday!
During a confident post fight interview, Adams Menday thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
