Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Darren Dixon (ranked 75 p4p, 173 weight class) and Evan Duvernay (ranked 7 p4p, 18 weight class). Duvernay is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Le Vent Nous Portera. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Darren Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Evan Duvernay!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duvernay throws out a loose jab but Dixon uses good head movement to avoid it.
Dixon feinted with a counter takedown.
Duvernay loads up on a big right hand but Dixon slips the punch.

and Dixon counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Dixon drops back looking for a leg! Duvernay is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Duvernay manages to kick Dixon off! Dixon jumps back into Duvernay's guard.
Dixon sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Duvernay's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dixon wants to pass the guard but Duvernay is defending well.

Dixon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Duvernay sprawls well. Duvernay wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dixon gets slowly back to his feet.
