The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Choke gets a double leg takedown into Scott's guard. Choke postures up in Scott's guard and throws a big left but Scott blocks it. Choke has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Scott looking for a guillotine here but Choke defends easily.

Choke throws a big right hand that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scott can't keep his opponent in guard - Choke advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Choke is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Choke seems to be looking for submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scott is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Choke pulls his head out easily. Choke is working for a kimura but Scott is defending it quite comfortably.
