Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edison Atunes (ranked 1510 p4p, 1087 weight class) and Aboubacar Mandiang (ranked 202 p4p, 151 weight class). Mandiang has chosen Oliver Twist as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edison Atunes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aboubacar Mandiang!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atunes scores with a nice body kick.
Atunes throws a chopping leg kick but Mandiang manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Mandiang doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Atunes makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Mandiang uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Atunes.
Atunes lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
It looks like Aboubacar Mandiang has been cut.
Mandiang tries to close the distance and clinch up but Atunes swats him away and circles back towards the center.
It looked like Atunes wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

and Atunes counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Aboubacar Mandiang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mandiang tries to close the distance and clinch up but Atunes swats him away and circles back towards the center.

As Mandiang backs away, Atunes returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Mandiang shoots in but Atunes avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Atunes defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mandiang.
Edison Atunes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aboubacar Mandiang.

Atunes sends Mandiang crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Atunes is motioning to the referee to let Mandiang up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Mandiang is rocked!
Atunes clinches up with Mandiang and pushes him back against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Atunes tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Mandiang wants to stall.

Mandiang wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Atunes has him pressed against the cage.

Atunes lands a high kick!
That has opened up Aboubacar Mandiang's cut even more.
Atunes looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Atunes throws a hook but Mandiang blocks it.
Mandiang walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Mandiang changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Atunes tries to avoid it but Mandiang manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Atunes to the ground. Atunes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Atunes jabs Mandiang right on the nose. Mandiang blinks but takes it well.
Mandiang is still on wobbly legs! Can Atunes finish him?
The cut above Aboubacar Mandiang's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Atunes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mandiang seems to have recovered his senses.
Atunes lands a big uppercut and Mandiang crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Mandiang looks OK. Atunes waves Mandiang back to his feet!

Atunes avoids the body shot from Mandiang.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mandiang fails to land with a series of punches.
Mandiang lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Mandiang drives through and clinches with Atunes against the cage.
Mandiang is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Atunes gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Atunes lands a nice knee to the body.

Mandiang breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Atunes comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Aboubacar Mandiang's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Aboubacar Mandiang's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Edison Atunes!
Edison Atunes took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'He will probably die later. Now bring me Pekka .. where u at man tits let’s run it back pussy!'.
