The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Kahn. That's going to slow Taneyev down.
Taneyev misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kahn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A quick step to the side and Taneyev tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Taneyev misses with a hook. Kahn ducked under it nicely.
Kahn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Taneyev walks into a stiff left hand from Kahn.
Taneyev tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kahn was well out of range. Poor timing from Taneyev.
Kahn swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Kahn rushes Taneyev and presses him up against the cage.
Kahn tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Taneyev escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Nice straight punches there by Kahn. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kahn.
Kahn tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Taneyev counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Mohammed Kahn has been cut.

The fighters circle momentarily. Taneyev darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Taneyev lands a jab to Kahn's midsection.
Taneyev throws a jab when Kahn was well out of range.
Kahn tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kahn has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Nice body kick there by Kahn.

Taneyev looks to land a left hand but Kahn moved out of range nicely.

Taneyev circles away from the clinch attempt.
A little feinted left hand from Taneyev on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Kahn connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

It looks like Valentin Taneyev has been cut.
Kahn fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Taneyev lands a big head kick that sends Kahn tumbling to the mat! Taneyev takes a step backwards and waves Kahn back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Kahn is rocked!

and Taneyev counters with a crisp right that sends Kahn to the canvas! Taneyev follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
