Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Larry Williams (ranked 77 p4p, 172 weight class) and Ife Edwards (ranked 15 p4p, 26 weight class). Edwards is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Damian Marley - Road to Zion. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Larry Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 19 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ife Edwards!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Ife Edwards seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Edwards lands a right hook to the body.
Williams tests Edwards's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Ife Edwards has been cut.

Edwards's coach down at Casa Steel was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Edwards's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Edwards dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Williams. That did some damage!
Williams looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Williams fakes the leg kick and cracks Edwards in the body.
Edwards misses with a jab, cross combination.
Williams lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Edwards throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Williams counters with a nice leg kick.
Crunch! Williams slams his shin into Edwards's torso.

and Williams cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Edwards keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Williams bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Edwards replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Williams blocks it well.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Edwards moves away from the strike by Williams.
Williams throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A little jabbing left from Edwards on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Edwards misses the jab.
Williams throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Edwards sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Williams thows a leg kick but Edwards checks it
and Edwards counters with an outside leg kick.
Edwards connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Edwards avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Edwards looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

and Edwards counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Edwards with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Williams has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Williams checks a leg kick.

Williams's corner calls for a 1-2. Williams obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Edwards uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Williams has time to react.
Edwards throws the left hand but Williams avoids the punch easily.
Williams lands a big uppercut and Edwards crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Edwards looks OK. Williams waves Edwards back to his feet!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Both fighters circling a little - Williams finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Edwards is still on wobbly legs! Can Williams finish him?
