Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sambo Sam (ranked 1447 p4p, 1973 weight class) and Richie Alaska (ranked 200 p4p, 258 weight class). Alaska has chosen A Long December - Counting Crows as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jonathan Paton and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sam looking to score a takedown here. Alaska is defending well but Sam drives through and ends up in Alaska's guard.
Alaska had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sam defends it easily.
Alaska is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sam stopping the sweep attempt from Alaska.
Sam trying to control the position from guard on top but Alaska is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sam slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Sam wants to control from the top but Alaska keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sam drops back looking for a leg! Alaska is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Alaska manages to kick Sam off! Sam jumps back into Alaska's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alaska working for a triangle but Sam defends it easily.

Sam wants to control from the top but Alaska keeps moving.
Sam tries to free his leg and advance position but Alaska is retaining full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Alaska looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Sam passes into side control.
Sam lands some shots froms side control.
Sam is looking to take a break and control but Alaska is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Alaska tries to improve position but can't.
Alaska is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Sam off and has taken his back!
Sam trying to control the action but Alaska just sinks the hooks in.
Sam is trying to break free.

Alaska tries to get the hooks in deep but Sam pushed the leg off.
Alaska is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Sam knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Sam for a finish.
My spies in Ludus Magnus inform me that Alaska has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Sam manages to reverse the position and now he's in Alaska's guard. Nice work there by Sam.

Sam stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alaska swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sam keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Alaska's head.
Alaska preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Alaska has his feet on Sam's thighs here. He's pushed Sam off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Sam screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
