Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Ross (ranked 4868 p4p, 3650 weight class) and Vito Scaletta (ranked 575 p4p, 493 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Ross! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 29 - 24 - 1, fighting out of New York, Vito Scaletta! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scaletta has closed the distance and engaged Ross in a clinch.
Ross has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Scaletta after a bit of a struggle. Scaletta lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Ross letting Scaletta take a breather here. Ross is looking for a takedown. Scaletta drags the fight down to the ground.
Scaletta wants to get back to his feet but Ross is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Scaletta had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ross defends it easily. Scaletta pulls Ross in close to his closed guard and prevents Ross from doing any damage or advancing position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scaletta bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ross's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ross can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Scaletta controls the pace. Ross has his foot on Scaletta's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Scaletta works his way back into a safe position though. Ross being controlled here, momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Scaletta stands and steps away. Ross gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Scaletta moves into the clinch. Scaletta is working Ross over against the cage. Ross drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Ross. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ross tries for a takedown but Scaletta manages to get underhooks.
Scaletta tightens his grip and picks Ross up, before dumping him to the ground. Ross manages to land in guard. Scaletta stays in close to Ross's body and controls the position. Scaletta is working Ross over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scaletta sitting in guard here, content to control. Scaletta slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Scaletta works to advance to full mount. Ross defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Ross is bucking up trying to escape but Scaletta cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Ross is breathing heavily. Scaletta has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ross's face.
Scaletta landing strikes from the mount. Scaletta tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Scaletta looking for a guillotine from mount but Ross is having none of it. Scaletta controlling from mount. Scaletta looking to finish Ross with some ground and pound. This is bad for Ross! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Scaletta landing shots from mount. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Scaletta takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Vito Scaletta dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Scaletta circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Ross drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Scaletta follows Ross to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vito Scaletta! Vito Scaletta seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
