Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jingky Bacolod (ranked 3253 p4p, 4794 weight class) and Bruno Neves (ranked 156 p4p, 215 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bacolod might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Havana. Jingky Bacolod could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Bruno Neves's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jingky Bacolod!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bruno Neves!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neves waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bacolod.
Neves fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Bacolod shoots in for a double leg but Neves sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Bacolod has closed the distance and engaged Neves in a clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Neves is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bacolod's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Neves is staying active underneath Bacolod, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Neves is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bacolod pulls his head out easily.

Neves is refusing to be controlled, as Bacolod sits in half guard.
Bacolod uses his free foot to push down on Neves's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Neves.
Neves tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Bacolod with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Neves is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Neves wants to control but Bacolod is having none of it.

Bacolod unloads with some shots from mount but Neves bucks and avoids them well.
Neves is squirming around, avoiding Bacolod's attempts to control the action.
Neves regains half guard.
Bacolod is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Neves gets back to full guard.

Neves gets tackled into the cage by Bacolod. Bacolod maintains the clinch.
Bacolod tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Neves just stands there and leans against the cage.

Neves manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Neves is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bacolod wants to control but Neves is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neves goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Bacolod turns into him and now he's in Neves's guard.

Neves working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bacolod doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bacolod manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neves is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bacolod is aware though and is defending well.

Neves escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bacolod gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Bacolod is looking to stand up but Neves won't let him.
Bacolod has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Neves not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bacolod wants to control from the top but Neves keeps moving.
Bacolod is looking to work some ground and pound but Neves has wrist control.
Bacolod is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Neves has his foot on Bacolod's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bacolod works his way back into a safe position though.

Bacolod is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Neves is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Bacolod tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Neves defends well and Bacolod ends up having to push Neves into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Neves jumps guard but Bacolod stands there with Neves around his waist. Neves gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Bacolod has Neves pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Neves manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Our sources have told us that Bacolod has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Bacolod is pushing Neves up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

I think Neves has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
