Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Branko Banik (ranked 3169 p4p, 2486 weight class) and Loke Axelsen (ranked 402 p4p, 334 weight class). Axelsen has chosen Cha Cha PT2- Freddie Dredd as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Branko Banik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Loke Axelsen!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Axelsen lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Banik closes the distance and clinches.

We've been hearing good reports from Banik's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Axelsen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Axelsen might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
