Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Backman (ranked 3987 p4p, 3084 weight class) and Torcadall Sailcirc (ranked 472 p4p, 390 weight class). Sailcirc has chosen THE SCOTTS as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Torcadall Sailcirc has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mickey Backman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Torcadall Sailcirc!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Backman defending well as Sailcirc loads up on a big left hand.
Backman with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sailcirc to score with a decent uppercut.
A jab lands there for Sailcirc.
Sailcirc changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Backman tries a head kick but it misses.
Sailcirc shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Backman but Backman pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Backman takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Sailcirc just misses with a punch to the body.
Backman ducks under a wild hook from Sailcirc.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sailcirc. Backman does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sailcirc lands a right hook to the body.
Backman tries for a takedown but Sailcirc sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sailcirc fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Backman manages to avoid it.
Backman throws a half hearted mid kick.

Sailcirc closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Backman quickly recovers to half guard.

Sailcirc wants to work for an arm triangle but Backman is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Sailcirc working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Backman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sailcirc's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sailcirc is staying active underneath Backman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Sailcirc wants to control but Backman is keeping busy.

Backman is really struggling to control Sailcirc but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Backman seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Sailcirc looks to score with a jab to the body but Backman is just out of range.
Backman appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Sailcirc tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Backman fakes the leg kick and cracks Sailcirc in the body.
Good work by Sailcirc as he checks the leg kick.

Backman shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Sailcirc lands with a hook. Backman tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Nice uppercut lands for Sailcirc. That snapped Backman's head back.
Torcadall Sailcirc seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sailcirc jabs Backman to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Torcadall Sailcirc seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Sailcirc manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Backman on his heels. He'll look to pass Backman's guard now, I'm sure.

Backman is fighting to break Sailcirc's control of his arms but Sailcirc is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sailcirc is on top in guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Sailcirc has an Americana. Backman didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Sailcirc is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Sailcirc hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Torcadall Sailcirc!
A very excited looking Torcadall Sailcirc made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
