Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryoto Takahashi (ranked 34 p4p, 135 weight class) and Darsin Bleak (ranked 7 p4p, 25 weight class). Takahashi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is SMOKING & THINKING. The crowd seem to be enjoying Bleak's choice of entrance music: Enter Sandman. Darsin Bleak acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryoto Takahashi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 23 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darsin Bleak! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takahashi leaves Bleak with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Takahashi jabbing away but nothing is landing. Bleak throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Bleak tries to clinch up. Bleak fails with a takedown attempt. Takahashi motions for Bleak to come forward. Takahashi throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Bleak checks the leg kick. Bleak checks the leg kick nicely there.
Takahashi lands a jab to Bleak's midsection. Takahashi throws an overhand right that lands on Bleak's shoulder, as Bleak tries to avoid the shot. Takahashi chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ryoto Takahashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Takahashi takes the fight into the clinch. Takahashi scores with a nice hook to the head. Takahashi scores with a shoulder strike. Bleak gets control of Takahashi's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bleak will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bleak looking for a sweep. Not yet Bleak, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bleak looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bleak manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Takahashi manages to get himself to full guard.
Bleak with a flurry of punches that miss. Bleak throws a big elbow that misses. Bleak trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bleak has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Bleak is looking to work some ground and pound but Takahashi has wrist control. Bleak trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Bleak working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Takahashi's head. Takahashi looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Takahashi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bleak's guard.
Bleak looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bleak looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bleak working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Takahashi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Takahashi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Bleak looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Takahashi's corner is telling him to maintain position. Takahashi trying to control but Bleak is working from the bottom. Bleak throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Takahashi escapes and throws Bleak's legs to the side, diving into side control! Takahashi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bleak keeps working. Bleak gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takahashi wants to take a breather but Bleak is having none of it. Takahashi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bleak doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Takahashi. Bleak is trying to get back to full guard. Bleak moves into full guard.
Bleak has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Takahashi is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bleak.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. A lull in the action here. Bleak is not content to let Takahashi control the position. Bleak is looking for a sweep. Takahashi trying to control the position but Bleak is working away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bleak is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Bleak keeps trying to improve his position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ryoto Takahashi dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Bleak displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Takahashi throws out the jab. Bleak fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Takahashi is out of range. Takahashi looks to score with a jab to the body but Bleak is just out of range. Bleak getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Bleak moves out of range as Takahashi throws a body kick.
Nice jab there from Takahashi.
It looks like Darsin Bleak has been cut. Bleak misses with a takedown attempt - Takahashi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bleak walks into a straight right hand from Takahashi. Takahashi drops Bleak with a naaaaasty hook - Bleak is in real trouble here! Takahashi dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryoto Takahashi! Ryoto Takahashi seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
