Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ele Meno (ranked 2017 p4p, 4122 weight class) and Casey Silk (ranked 182 p4p, 327 weight class). The key to victory for Ele Meno has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ele Meno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Casey Silk!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jonathan Paton and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meno displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Silk throws out the jab.
Meno swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
We've been told by Meno's head coaches at Thunder Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Silk blocks a jab.
Silk walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Meno throws a right hand that Silk ducks under and follows up with a left that Silk also avoids with ease.
Meno misses with a two punch combination.
Meno misses with a body shot.
Silk misses with a body kick.
A cross from Meno lands.
Silk throws out a loose jab but Meno uses good head movement to avoid it.
Nice jab there from Meno.
Sloppy strikes from Meno. Those never looked like landing.

Meno sizes up Silk with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Meno uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Silk has time to react.
Silk shoots in for a takedown but Meno shows good takedown defense.

Silk shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Meno moves into the clinch.
Meno stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Meno tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Silk wants to break free but Meno has control.
Silk is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Meno is keeping busy.

Meno goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Meno escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silk looks for the body kick but Meno saw that one coming.

Meno is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Silk.
Silk is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Meno throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Silk looks to land a left hand but Meno moved out of range nicely.
Silk on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
A jab lands there for Meno.
Silk waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Meno.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silk.
Silk throws a right hand that misses
and Meno makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Silk takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Silk is still on wobbly legs! Can Meno finish him?
Silk walks into a straight right hand from Meno.
Meno cracks Silk with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Silk tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Meno pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Silk is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ele Meno!
