Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gustavo Avallone!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avallone throws a right and a left that both miss.
Avallone moves out of range of the strikes.
Nice defenses there by Avallone.

Garlind moves into the clinch.
Avallone misses with some punches.
Avallone blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Garlind breaks from the clinch.
Garlind definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Garlind blocks a head kick by Avallone.

Garlind has closed the distance and engaged Avallone in a clinch.
Garlind scores with a nice hook to the head.
Garlind lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Garlind's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Garlind drives through and clinches with Avallone against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Avallone fails to land.
Avallone throws a head punch that misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Avallone doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Garlind misses with a hook from the clinch.
Garlind tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Garlind lands a hook to the side of the head.
Avallone lands an uppercut.

Garlind breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Avallone has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Garlind looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Avallone!

Garlind is trying to get an arm triangle but Avallone is defending well.
Avallone is trying to control Garlind's posture but Garlind avoids it.
Garlind knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Avallone on the ground.

Garlind is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Avallone has escaped the position, nice work there.

Garlind goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Avallone rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Garlind's guard! Nice work there by Avallone!

Garlind looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Avallone has picked Garlind up and slammed him! Garlind can't keep hold of the triangle and Avallone manages to pass to side control!

Garlind tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Avallone wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Avallone trying to control the position but Garlind is working away.
A control attempt from Garlind but he's now mounted!

Avallone is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Garlind can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Garlind tries to reverse the position but Avallone maintains control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Garlind looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Garlind looking very determined here, making life difficult for Avallone.

Avallone is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Garlind is defending well though. Avallone let's go of the attempt for now.
I really don't envy Garlind right now.

Avallone has one arm under Garlind 's neck. Garlind is controlling the other arm well. He's just looking to survive right now. Avallone manages to get his arm free though and Garlind is in a world of trouble! Avallone sinks in the hooks and squeezes! Garlind turns purple and then goes limp. The referee steps in to end the bout!
