Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Calvin Green (ranked 1354 p4p, 2139 weight class) and Eli Vieira (ranked 70 p4p, 79 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Green might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Kingslayer. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green misses with a hook. Vieira ducked under it nicely.
Vieira looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Vieira takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Green lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vieira circles away quickly and effectively.
Green has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Jungle Room in the buildup to the fight.
Green throws a hook to the side of Vieira's head but Vieira sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Vieira with the counter takedown but Green avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vieira moves out of range of the strikes.

Vieira takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Eli Vieira has been cut.
Green throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Vieira throws out a counter right but Green avoids it with no problem.

and Vieira counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Green!
Green managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Vieira.

Green tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Vieira has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Vieira thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

A determined Eli Vieira didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
