Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Barnes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hueng Son!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Son.
Barnes throws a head kick that misses
and Son counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Barnes thinking.
Barnes throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Son lands with a thumping leg kick.
Barnes throws a nice looking combination but Son bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Barnes throws a low kick but Son avoids it.
Barnes looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Son looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barnes looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Son connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Son takes a swing at Barnes's ribcage but misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Son avoids a kick to the body.
Barnes misses with a lunging right hand
and Son counters with a nice right hand that sends Barnes toppling to the canvas! Barnes scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Son finish him?!
Barnes is rocked!
Son lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Barnes head around and knocks him out cold! Son hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hueng Son!
Hueng Son bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
