Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scooter Ham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael McPherson!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McPherson throws a body shot but no joy.
Ham is looking to counter punch.
McPherson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ham counters with a nice low kick that buckles McPherson's knee momentarily.
Ham lands with a nice body punch.
Some wild striking there from McPherson.
Ham throws a quick inside leg kick.
McPherson throws a leg kick but Ham sees it coming and moves out of range.
Ham defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McPherson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ham throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by McPherson.
We've been told by Ham's head coaches at GWad's Playpen that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Ham scores with a leg kick.
Crunch! Ham slams his shin into McPherson's torso.
McPherson misses with a jab, cross combination.
It looked like Ham wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
McPherson looks winded!

McPherson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
McPherson on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Ham throws a front kick that sends McPherson stumbling back into the cage.
Ham lands a big head kick that sends McPherson tumbling to the mat! Ham takes a step backwards and waves McPherson back to his feet - he wants the finish!
McPherson is rocked!
Ham with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
McPherson is still on wobbly legs! Can Ham finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ham lands a nice leg kick that just misses McPherson's sensitive parts.
McPherson glances at the clock... BAM! Ham nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends McPherson crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, McPherson is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
