PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Space Herpes (ranked 2964 p4p, 3211 weight class) and Tomas Tetrev (ranked 405 p4p, 440 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Herpes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Herpes Two. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tomas Tetrev!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herpes shoots for a double leg takedown but Tetrev sprawls well. He's pushed Herpes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tetrev shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Herpes pinned against the cage. Herpes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Herpes gets tackled into the cage by Tetrev. Tetrev maintains the clinch.
Tetrev is pressed up against the cage. Herpes has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tetrev down to the mat. Tetrev avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Tetrev manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Herpes on his heels. He'll look to pass Herpes's guard now, I'm sure.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Tetrev working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
