Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Camaras Account!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Borowa Gora!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Account swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Gora counter with a right hand.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Account misses the shot to the body.
Account misses with a looping right.
Account uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gora.
Gora punishes Account's body with a nice straight punch.
Gora lands a left and a right that send Account crashing to the mat, dazed. Gora thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Camaras Account has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gora throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Account on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Account avoids the head kick by Gora.
Account swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
The crowd cheers as Account lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gora doesn't seem phased though.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Account scores with a body shot.
Account avoids the head kick by Gora.
Account half committed to a counter leg kick.
Gora's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Account connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gora scrambles back to his feet.
Account looks for the body kick but Gora saw that one coming.
Gora lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Account checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
A quick step to the side and Account tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Account looks to throw the jab but Gora is out of range.
Account walks into a jab.
Gora throws a leg kick that is checked
and Account counters with a straight right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gora lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Account connects with a solid leg kick.
Account throws a jab when Gora was well out of range.
A little jabbing left from Gora on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Gora dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Account. That did some damage!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gora scores with a jab to the head.
Account gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Gora gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Borowa Gora!
Borowa Gora is the new light heavyweight champion!
An out of breath Borowa Gora thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
