Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tarik Oren (ranked 2780 p4p, 2012 weight class) and Jim Longchain (ranked 305 p4p, 238 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oren throws out a loose jab but Longchain uses good head movement to avoid it.
A countering left hand to the body from Longchain misses.
Oren misses with a left hand
letting Longchain counter with a right hand.
Oren throws a leg kick that is checked

and Longchain counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Oren!
Oren is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Oren is pressing down on Longchain's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Oren is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Oren has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Longchain accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Oren is on top in guard.

Longchain manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Oren manages to get himself to full guard.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Oren, as that shot connected.
Oren thows a left - swing and a miss!
Longchain swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Longchain keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Oren.
Tarik Oren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oren misses with a hook
and Longchain counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

A nice leg kick lands there from Oren.
Longchain doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Longchain takes one on the button.

Oren drops Longchain with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Longchain looks back up at him and smiles so Oren waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Longchain is rocked!
Oren throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Longchain cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Oren lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Oren misses with a lunging right hand
and Longchain counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Oren cracks Longchain with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Longchain looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Oren finish him?
Oren throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Tarik Oren is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Crack! Oren connects with the perfect overhand right and Longchain falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Oren!
