Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joseph OByrne (ranked 1616 p4p, 3183 weight class) and Herbert Mullin (ranked 222 p4p, 378 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joseph OByrne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Herbert Mullin!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Radbod Blank and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OByrne throws a right and a left that both miss.
OByrne swats away the attempt to clinch by Mullin.
Mullin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Herbert Mullin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
OByrne avoids a punch combination nicely.
OByrne takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
OByrne takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Mullin with a nice cross.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mullin slips under a jab from OByrne.
Mullin unleashes a big counter combination but OByrne bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Mullin throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
OByrne throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mullin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
OByrne looks to land a left hand but Mullin moved out of range nicely.
Mullin throws a lazy head kick
and Mullin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mullin tries to close the distance and clinch up but OByrne swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mullin doesn't manage to clinch there - OByrne circles away.
OByrne finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
It seemed like Mullin was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Mullin gets a clinch.
Mullin is looking to take this one to the mat.
OByrne wants to break the clinch but can't.
Mullin goes for a takedown attempt but OByrne pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
OByrne takes a shot right to the bread basket.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
OByrne avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
OByrne throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
OByrne scores with the left hand. Mullin knows he should have avoided that one.
OByrne throws a predictable looking body shot
and Mullin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mullin misses with a few strikes there.
OByrne misses with a head kick.
Mullin's corner calls for a 1-2. Mullin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
OByrne doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mullin lands a front kick.
OByrne moves forwards but Mullin connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mullin lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and OByrne has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from OByrne and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
OByrne throwing a counter right hand but Mullin manages to avoid it.
OByrne throws a shot from downtown. Mullin moves away and avoids it.
Despite the aggression on Mullin's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
OByrne throws a leg kick that is checked
and Mullin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Joseph OByrne has been cut.
Mullin instigates a clinch.
OByrne breaks from the clinch.
Mullin lands a head kick that stumbles OByrne and the fighters go to the mat.
OByrne is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mullin stands and steps away. OByrne gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Oh OByrne is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Mullin has cracked OByrne with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Mullin lands another huge swinging hook and OByrne tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save OByrne, before Mullin can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Herbert Mullin!
After winning the bout, Herbert Mullin thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
