The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coppola throws an uppercut from half a mile away. DeCoteau sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Coppola tries a head kick but it misses.
Coppola tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Coppola throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Coppola tries to clinch up
and DeCoteau counters with a nice double leg into guard.
DeCoteau wants to pass the guard but Coppola is keeping the position.
Coppola wants to get back to his feet but DeCoteau is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
DeCoteau passes Coppola's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coppola wants to get back to full guard.
Coppola is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute DeCoteau jumps into side control!
Coppola is looking to reverse the position.

DeCoteau is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Coppola looks calm but he's in trouble here. DeCoteau gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Coppola is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! DeCoteau lets go of the hold and Coppola can pop his arm back in it's socket.
