Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Ulatov (ranked 2144 p4p, 2081 weight class) and Aristotle Sparbot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 20 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergei Ulatov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Aristotle Sparbot!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Dmitry Maklakov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ulatov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sparbot but Sparbot pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Ulatov shoots in and bounces Sparbot off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Ulatov definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

My spies in London MMA Club inform me that Sparbot has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

and Sparbot counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Ulatov is not content to let Sparbot control the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Ulatov dives in for a single leg takedown but Sparbot sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Sparbot's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Ulatov is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sparbot scores with a couple of nice shots.
Sparbot looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Aristotle Sparbot showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Ulatov postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sparbot is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ulatov, into his guard.


Ulatov is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Sparbot frees his head nicely. Oh but Ulatov has switched to an armbar! Sparbot is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Armbar). Sergei Ulatov!
A very excited looking Sergei Ulatov made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
