Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ian Stronk (ranked 1016 p4p, 324 weight class) and Kaarlo Susi (ranked 144 p4p, 52 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ian Stronk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kaarlo Susi!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Jorge Garcia and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stronk uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Susi slips a jab from Stronk.
Susi let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Stronk misses with an uppercut. Susi saw that one coming.
Susi tests Stronk's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A slow jab from Susi misses its intended target.
Stronk blocks a head kick by Susi.
Stronk throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

letting Susi counter with a right hand.
Stronk moves into the clinch.
Susi lands a body punch.
Susi lands a shot to the body.
Susi goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Stronk throws a head punch that misses.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Susi creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stronk is trying to force a seperation but Susi has the dominant position.
Susi lands an uppercut.
Susi fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Susi misses with a punch on the inside.
Susi misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Stronk lands a hook to the side of the head.
Stronk tries to work over Susi's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Stronk lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Susi blocks a body shot from Stronk.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Susi creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Susi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Stronk takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Stronk on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Stronk swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Susi! But no joy.

Susi throws a jab when Stronk was well out of range.
Ian Stronk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Susi scoring well with a low kick there.
Stronk walks into a jab.
Stronk wants to clinch up but Susi keeps it at a distance.
Stronk tries to clinch but Susi moves out of range.
Stronk closes the distance but Susi moves to the side
and Susi counters with a slapping leg kick.
Susi slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Susi bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Stronk's head backwards.

Susi throws out a counter right but Stronk avoids it with no problem.

Nice defenses there by Stronk.
Good exchange - Susi coming out on top.
Stronk thuds a left hand into Susi's body.
No joy there for Stronk, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stronk gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Stronk's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
A short right hand to the side of the head by Susi.
Susi tries to throw a body punch but Stronk avoids it by throwing Susi back against the cage.
I was talking to Stronk's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
A nice left hand lands by Susi.
Susi breaks the clinch.
Susi thumps Stronk with a low kick.
Susi has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Susi scores with a crisp jab that stopped Stronk in his tracks.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stronk uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Susi.
Susi lands a brutal head kick. Stronk looks out on his feet and Susi throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Kaarlo Susi!
A relieved looking Kaarlo Susi thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
