Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Medium Guy (ranked 25074 p4p, 24681 weight class) and Medium Mann (ranked 586 p4p, 569 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Medium Guy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Medium Mann!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy avoids the head kick by Mann.
Guy fires out a quick counter leg kick but Mann just manages to avoid it.
Guy closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Guy working aggressively here.
Mann is stalling here.
Guy misses with a punch to the body.
Guy working Mann over with knees to the body.
Guy blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Guy prevents a body shot from Mann.
Guy is pushing Mann up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guy drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mann gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Mann misses with some punches.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mann struggles to land a body shot inside as Guy controls his hands.
A right hook to the body lands for Mann.
Mann scores with a nice hook to the head.
Guy tries to work over Mann's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Mann is pressed up against the cage. Guy has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mann down to the mat. Mann avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Guy misses with a wild body shot.
Guy looks to score with a jab to the body but Mann is just out of range.
Mann forces Guy back against the cage and clinches.
Mann blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Guy has Mann pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mann manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Medium Guy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Guy landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Guy is trying to maintain a safe position but Mann gets an underhook and turns Guy into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mann goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Guy tries to throw a body punch but Mann avoids it by throwing Guy back against the cage.
Mann missing with knees to the body.
Knees in the clinch landing for Guy.
Mann breaks the clinch.
Mann checks a low kick from Guy.
Guy is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mann uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Guy has time to react.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Guy lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mann has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mann and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mann connects with a right hand. Guy shakes it off.
That kick from Mann tenderised Guy's leg. Guy is trying to keep his angry face on.
Mann lands a really nice looking cross but Guy seems unphased.

Mann's corner calls for a 1-2. Mann obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Mann changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Guy moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Mann lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Guy connects with a solid leg kick.
Mann scores with a takedown into Guy's guard.
Mann postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Mann keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Guy's head.

Mann with a nice head shot there.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mann throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Guy works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Guy striking off his back but it's not causing Mann any problems.
Guy working a defensive guard but Mann manages to pass into side control anyway.
Mann is working Guy over with some ground and pound from side control.
Mann creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Mann is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Guy looks calm but he's in trouble here. Mann gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Guy is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Mann lets go of the hold and Guy can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Medium Mann!
