The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sapp avoids the body shot from Smooth.
Smooth misses with a wild body shot.

Sapp decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Smooth kicks Sapp off and gets back to his feet.
Nice sprawl there from Smooth as Sapp shoots in.
Nice takedown defense from Smooth. No joy for Sapp on that attempt.
Sapp fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tim Smooth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Sapp.
Smooth misses with a straight right.
Sapp shoots for a takedown but Smooth saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

A lazy left from Smooth finds it's target.

It looks like Bob Sapp has been cut.
Sapp fails with a takedown attempt.
Sapp drops his hands momentarily. Smooth doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Sapp staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Sapp doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
