Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Konrad Wagner (ranked 1310 p4p, 1388 weight class) and Manuel Silva (ranked 168 p4p, 179 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wagner slips under a jab.
Wagner's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Silva connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Wagner scrambles back to his feet.
Wagner throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Silva sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Wagner throws out a loose jab but Silva uses good head movement to avoid it.
Silva will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Wagner stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wagner wants it to stay on the feet.

Wagner swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Silva.
It looks like Manuel Silva has been cut.
Wagner lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Silva shoots in for a takedown but Wagner shows good takedown defense.

Silva looks for a takedown but Wagner sprawls well.
Wagner has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Silva.
Silva fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wagner avoids it really well and circles away.
Wagner was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Silva slips under a jab.
Silva misses with a takedown attempt - Wagner sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Silva goes for a double leg but Wagner avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wagner continues to drive forward.
BOOM! Wagner lands a beautiful left hook that drops Silva. Silva tries to recover but Wagner is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Silva lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Konrad Wagner!
